The 10th Triennial National Deligates Conference with the Theme; Labour and National Re-Orientation: The Change We Want had in attendance delegates from the 25 affiliate Unions of TUC and its Councils in the 36 States and Abuja.  Com. Ayuba Wabba the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Dr. Chris Ngige, the Minister of labour and Productivity, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, former Nigeria permanent representative to the United Nation and host of others were present at the opening ceremony as invited guests. In his keynote address Prof. Ibrahim Gaambari said labour is an indispensable partner in production and moreso we can not move forward except we embrace production and productivity and without labour other factors can not translate into production. He therefore appealed that government should not treat labour as organization they will result to when there is crises. He said one of the reasons why Singapore moved became developed is that the government had a compact agreement with Labour not to go on strike.
